Lauren Alto- studied dance for over 17 years. I competed in dance for 7 years and held the position of Competition Jazz Team Leader. In addition to taking class at numerous conventions and studios, I have studied dance at the Cincinnati Ballet, Dayton Ballet, and Cincinnati Contemporary Dance Theater. I also received college dance training at the University of Cincinnati's College Conservatory of Music and with the Dance Department of Butler University of Indiana. I have been teaching various discplines for 6 years, as I have continued my own dance education. I look forward to teaching this coming year and working with Star Performance Centre!
Melissa Kidd- Studied dance since 3 at several area studios
Studied under Cincinnati Ballet Company since I was 14 under company member such as Joseph Cox and Beth Magner . Studied under the following people in different areas of dance: Missy Lay Zimmer (with Broadway Credits such as Cats) Andrew Hubbard (with Broadway credits such as Cats, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Footloose) Bob Rizzo (famous choreographer) Finis Juhng (famous ballet teacher/choreographer) Abron Glover (tap teacher/choreographer--Savion's brother!) Currently I am choreographing for ROJO Productions out of Cincinnati, which is a touring theater group. I am also choreographing for the rapper "Gyfted" and will be performing with him several times on his fall tour of the east coast.

Shari Murphy- This will be Shari’s fouth year on staff here at SPC. She not only teaches our younger combination classes and hip hop/jazz classes, but also works with our award winning competition teams. Shari started competing with us our first year as a studio in 2001. She not only successfully competed as a dance soloist, but was also heavily involved as a competitive gymnast. She currently is attaining her degree in Medical Massage.

Jill - This is Jill’s second year on staff at SPC. Jill was a National Dance Association instructor for many years. She danced with the Cincinnati Ben-Gal cheerleaders as well as coached the Northwest High School dance team. Jill is also in her second year teaching the adult class.When she is not busy with her husband and two children, she is off judging dance competitions throughout the United States.

Amy Goldberg-Amy is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music. She brings over 18 years of teaching experience to SPC. Amy has coached numerous award winning dance teams such as the Univ. of Cincinnati, Penn State and St. Francis University. Known for her innovative award winning choreography she freelances regionally to schools, studios, and other cheer and dance organizations. Currently she is the head coach of SPC's mini, youth, junior and senior competition teams. This will also be her second year as head coach of the newly founded Lakota East Dance Team. Amy has been married 8 years to husband Scott and is the proud mother of 5 year old daughter Keeley.

Kathy McCormick- Kathy McCormick is an honor graduate of Texas Christian University where she double majored in Ballet and Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations and Advertising. She was also captain of the TCU Showgirls dance team. She owned her own successful dance studio in North Carolina, and later taught at the School of Ballet West in Slat Lake City, Utah. She is a professiona dancer and teacher and is the past ballet director for the Plano Academy of Dance and was an instructor and choreographer at the award-winning Dance Industry Performing Arts Center in the Dallas area. She currently coaches the national champion Senior and Junior Stars from Star Performance Centre in the Cincinnati area. She has worked as choreographer and directed programs for the NFL Dallas Cowboys, the NBA Cleveland Cavaliers and was the entertainment and field director for Major League Soccer’s Dallas Burn, where she founded and directed the Dallas Burn Dancers. She has choreographed and served as director for the nationally televised Peach Bowl in Atlanta, Georgia and assisted on many others including the Florida Citrus Bowl and Bluebonnet Bowl. Mrs. McCormick is a nationally recognized dance clinician and adjudicator who has judged major competitions in Florida, Utah, Texas, Iowa, New York, Arizona and throughout the nation as well as overseas. She has also written and been on the advisory board for a national dance magazine. Kathy has also served as a casting choreographer for the Walt Disney World Audition Tour and as a dance coach for Olympic-bound gymnasts.
